Adventure Girlz is a sports-based leadership program for girls. Adventure Girlz introduces girls to people, opportunities, and practical tools needed to develop a healthy lifestyle with traditional and non-traditional sports adventures to enhance self-esteem and leadership skills; explore issues of race, gender and adolescence through self-reflection and group dialogue; build their academic prowess (primarily in literacy) and critical thinking skills; and collaborate on projects to increase confidence and sense of purpose.
