National Alliance for Eye and Vision Research Advancing Vision Research Protecting Sight Shaping the Future Our Mission The National Alliance for Eye and Vision Research NAEVR champions a future where every American has access to exceptional eye and vision care by advocating for robust funding and support for vision research. Through tireless efforts NAEVR secures federal investments from the National Institutes of Health NIH including the National Eye Institute NEI as well as the Department of Defense DOD Department of Veterans Affairs VA and other federal agencies. This mission underscores NAEVRs commitment to ensuring groundbreaking discoveries that enhance vision health nationwide. Complementing this mission the Alliance for Eye and Vision Research AEVR amplifies the importance of vision science through strategic education and outreach.
