The Huron Mountain Wildlife Foundation sponsors field-based research in the Huron Mountains of Michigan at it's Ives Lake Field Station. Since 1955 the Huron Mountain Wildlife Foundation has sponsored natural science research on the lands and waters of the Lake Superior area. The Foundation maintains the Ives Lake Research Station with access to a 6,000 hectare research natural area near Big Bay, MI.
