Georgia-Carolinas PCI
The Precast, Prestressed Concrete Institute (PCI) develops, maintains, and disseminates the Body of Knowledge for precast concrete. The primary objective of this trade association is to stimulate and advance the common interest and general welfare of the plant-produced precast and prestressed concrete industry throughout the southeastern states. The entity develops, funds and implements a comprehensive marketing program directed toward the design and construction industry. The focus of the programming is to promote the benefits of precast and prestressed concrete products to increase technical understanding, market demand and utilization.

Georgia-Carolinas PCI
To consolidate the offices of Virginia’s General Assembly, the design team of General Assembly Building partnered with precast concrete producer, GATE Precast. This building meets contemporary requirements while complementing the character of Richmond’s historic Capital Square. Offering design freedom and versatility, the precast concrete panels were carefully colored, textured, and detailed to emulate limestone across the building’s exterior.

Today, May 30, 2025, is National Creativity Day. We want to take the time to highlight one of our student competitions - PCI Big Beam. This student-led team project competition focuses on designing and fabricating a 20-feet long precast concrete beam, working alongside a PCI producer member.
