We are happy to announce new TurnPark Summer Festival participants! Please meet Uyanga Bold, featured in productions by Disney, Marvel, BBC, 20th Century Fox, and Paramount (Mulan, The Marvels, Avatar, Spider-Man) and Bansara (Josh Geisler), bandleader of Cirque du Soleil’s TOTEM! Uyanga x Bansara is a powerhouse duo that crafts transcendent, cinematic soundscapes blending ancient traditions with modern innovation. Featuring Uyanga’s otherworldly, chameleonic vocals and Bansara’s virtuosic world flutes, their lush downtempo grooves take audiences on a sonic journey that moves the body and elevates the spirit. Drawing from their nomadic travels and rich musical backgrounds, their performances weave the timeless and the sacred into a contemporary communal trance experience. Uyanga x Bansara will team up with talented multi-instrumentalists and frequent TurnPark collaborators Dima Klim and Sasha Drey to bring a new unique blend of shamanic, trance, and electronic sounds to the TurnPark Summer Festival, and present an enchanting story about a free creative spirit who will spread its wings when we allow it to do so. Uyanga Bold is a Mongolian artist passionate about transformative experiences through sound, with a focus on the voice as a catalyst for healing. Her devotion to training with the medicine in the Andean and Brazilian traditions for nearly ten years is reflected in the depth of the space that she holds. She also teaches voice and leads singing retreats. A Berklee College of Music and LA Recording School alumna, she is featured in productions by Disney, Marvel, BBC, and Paramount (Mulan, The Marvels, Spider-Man). She toured arenas, performed with symphony orchestras worldwide, and reached over 50 million views. Her widely used vocal sample library, Voices of the Empire, made her voice a staple in film and TV. Forbes describes her voice as “harkening back to ancient civilizations,” while Electronic Musician calls it “masterful” with “remarkable chops,” and Cosmopolitan nominated her for “Best Female Singer of the Year.” Bansara (Josh Geisler) is a multi-instrumentalist specializing in Bansuri flute, as well as a breathwork facilitator and retreat leader. He is deeply committed to sharing breath and sound as transformative gateways, opening the heart, deepening presence, and awakening a connection to the sacred mystery of life. An accomplished musician, he has released numerous solo albums and toured globally for nine years as flutist, guitarist, and bandleader of Cirque du Soleil’s TOTEM, performing over 2,650 shows in 45 cities. A Berklee College of Music graduate, he also studied North Indian classical music for 15 years with the legendary Pandit Raghunath Seth. #turnparksummerfestival #Massachusetts #livemusic (fb)

"Don Quixote Contemplating a Flower,” a remarkable work by Nikolai Silis, is one of TurnPark’s iconic symbols and was one of the first sculptures to be installed on the park grounds. It was the sculpture that started it all. While living in Moscow, we (Igor and Katya, TurnPark co-founders) always felt inspired by the creative spirit of Nikolai Silis’ studio. It definitely motivated us in the creation of our own art space. Filled with a spirit of freedom and pure creativity, this studio grew into an underground meeting place for Silis and his fellow artists and friends, who helped maintain it despite the historical ups and downs (mostly downs) of 20th-century Russia. To support the artist, we bought the Don Quixote sculpture, but left it at the studio because we knew Silis loved having it there so much, and we couldn’t imagine the studio without it. By the time we moved to the USA and started the TurnPark project in 2013, Silis was in his late 80s and rarely visited his studio. We realized it was time for Don Quixote to discover America. In a large crate, he crossed the ocean on a cargo ship and spent months in our garage waiting for us to finish the park's landscaping and construction. Then, one spring day, with the help of family and friends, he finally (and rather triumphantly) paraded through the park to find the best spot to settle in. And so, Don Quixote found the perfect place right in front of the quarry pond where he remains to this day, contemplating his wonderful daisy and surrounded by real daisies in the summertime. Nikolai Silis was a Soviet-era underground artist, draftsman, and sculptor. Silis’ artistic career unfolded against the backdrop of Stalinist repressions, the brief “thaw” under Nikita Khrushchev, and the economic and cultural stagnation that marked Leonid Brezhnev’s long reign. Silis’ art developed despite the doctrine of Socialist Realism sanctioned by Soviet ideology. Don Quixote was Silis’ favorite literary character. Through a series of graphic works and sculptures, Nikolai Silis explored the theme of an idealist persevering in the face of a crushing reality. Part of an underground artistic community in the Soviet Union, Nikolai Silis and his fellow artists called themselves “the ones going against the wind.” #sculpturepark #sculptureart #berkshires Grigori Fateyev Igor Gomberg Katya Brezgunova (fb)
