This is probably the hardest concept for the religious mind to grasp… We've been so conditioned to believe righteousness is a spiritual report card that the idea of it being a person feels almost too good to be true. But here's what transformed my entire ministry and personal walk with God: Righteousness isn't your spiritual performance. It's not your Bible reading consistency, your prayer life, or how well you follow denominational rules. Christ literally IS your righteousness. When God looks at you, He sees Christ's perfect life, not your imperfect efforts. This means: - Your standing with God never fluctuates based on your behavior - You can't lose what you never earned in the first place - Bad days don't make you less righteous - Good days don't make you more righteous I spent years trying to achieve what I already possessed. Every spiritual discipline became another attempt to earn what Christ had already freely given me. When this revelation finally hit me after burning out twice, it wasn't just theology that changed. My entire relationship with God shifted from striving to resting. You're not working toward righteousness. You're living from it.
