HEALTHY ISLAND PROJECT
THE MISSION IS TO IMPROVE THE HEALTH OF COMMUNITY RESIDENTS AND THE LARGER COMMUNITY BY FUNCTIONING IN THE FOLLOWING THREE CAPACITIES: A) AS A CATALYST TO SUPPORT THE DEVELOPMENT OF PROGRAMS AND IDEAS AS IDENTIFIED BY COMMUNITY RESIDENTS TO ADDRESS HEALTH RELATED NEEDS, B) AS A INITIATOR OF PROGRAMS AND INITIATIVES WITH THE CAPACITY TO RESPOND TO EMERGING NEEDS IN THE COMMUNITY AND C) AS A SUPPORTER OF ESTABLISHED COMMUNITY PROGRAMS AND AGENCIES.
