The Friends of Beard is an independent not-for-profit 501(c)(3) fundraising organization with the sole mission to support Daniel C. Beard Elementary School Friends of Beard NFP is an independent not-for-profit 501(c)(3) fundraising organization formed in 2015 with the sole mission to support Daniel C. Beard Elementary School located at 6445 W. Strong Street, Chicago, IL.Daniel School is a specialty Chicago Public School that services students with special needs from Pre-K to 3rd grade. Staff members are highly trained specialists in working with students on the spectrum of autism, developmental delays and other special needs. Beard School helps each student achieve their full potential in a safe and supportive learning environment. Our mission is to enrich the academic opportunities of the diverse learner. The current program's we directly support with fundraising are Literacy and Libraries, Art, Sensory Room Project, our beautiful Garden which is a Certified Nature Explorer Classroom. We also support special projects as needed by Beard School.
