SCDAR

The South Carolina State Society, NSDAR, was founded in 1891. With 64 chapters and over 4,800 members, our Daughters actively serve in their communities to promote our objectives of Historic Preservation, Patriotic Endeavor and Promotion of Education. The South Carolina State Society Daughters of the American Revolution is organized to perpetuate the memory of those who achieved American Independence. This is acheived through programs which promote historic preservation, education, and promotion of patriotism.

We are honored that you are interested in our service and commitment to God Home and Country. The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution NSDAR or DAR began in 1890 and is a nonpolitical volunteer organization consisting of over 190000 members from across the globe headquartered in Washington DC in our House Beautiful. Today the South Carolina State Society Daughters of the American Revolution SCDARis over 4900 Daughters strong as each member can document her ancestry to a patriot who assisted in the cause of American independence during the Revolutionary War and has committed herself to the mission of our society for historic preservation education and patriotism.
