Providing opportunities for excellence in education, promote innovation in teaching, and partner with the community to enhance the quality of education The Forney ISD Education Leadership Foundation's purpose is to enable and empower teaching and learning throughout Forney Independent School District (FISD). The tools used to fulfill this purpose include the Dual Credit Advantage Plus program and innovative teaching grants.Originally the organization set out to award a $500 college scholarship to each qualifying FISD graduate. This program was in place from 2004-2017 and finished paying out the last scholarships in 2022. In order to affect the lives of more students in the district, in 2008, the Foundation launched the Educational Grant Program for FISD teachers, administrators and staff to recognize and support innovative instructional programs and initiatives that positively impact the students of the school district. In 2017, the Foundation partnered with Forney ISD and Dallas County Community College District (DCCCD) to assists students in paying the fees for enrolling in a dual-credit (high school and college credit) initiative c
