Please join us for our monthly litter pick-up on the Roanoke Valley greenways! This month, we will pick-up litter along the Roanoke River Greenway in SE Roanoke along Riverland Road and Bennington Street. If you are not available this month, we meet the first Thursday morning of the month for future litter pick-up events. Date: Thursday, May 1, 2025 Time: 9:00 am-10:30 am Location: Meet at Bennington Place Shopping Center Parking Lot; near China Taste restaurant Google Directions: Bennington Place Shopping Center Parking Lot GPS Coordinates: 37.24988, -79.9183642 What to bring/wear: Comfortable, closed toe shoes Long pants Hi-Viz vest/shirt (if available - we will be working near traffic along the greenway) Safety glasses (if available) Hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, etc. Water bottle Disposable gloves and trash bags will be provided.
