To preserve and share Englewood’s history. We have a broad-based mission, including the restoration and preservation of historic buildings, accepting, cataloging, and displaying donated artifacts, recording, transcribing, and publishing the oral history of Englewood and its residents, providing interesting and educational lectures each month on historical subjects, and reaching out to our local schools to assist with instilling a love of history in the students.

Englewood Historic Preservation Society Patricia Raybon is the awardwinning author of the Annalee Spain Mystery Series. Set in 1920s Denver when the Ku Klux Klan ruled the state it features a young Black theologiana fan of Sherlock Holmessolving crimes of the heart and spirit during one of Colorados most dangerous times. But as she grapples with questions about life love courage and consequence what did the fictional detective teach the novelist about how to revisit the past to gain context for understanding lifes muddles and puzzles today. Patricia is a Christy Awardwinning novelist and essayist whose essays have appeared in many publications including The New York Times Magazine Newsweek USA Today the Chicago Tribune Denver Post and Rocky Mountain News.
