On April 27, 2025, Claire White laced up her running shoes to honor the memory of her close friend and running partner, Chantal Neal, who had been diagnosed with adenoid cystic carcinoma. Chantal loved her running, and her car was filled with the sound of medals clinking from her countless races. Running the London Marathon was her dream, and so it was Claire's way of celebrating her friend's life and continue her legacy. 'For Pete’s Sake Cancer Respite Foundation' enables cancer patients and their loved ones to strengthen and unify their relationships by creating unforgettable respite experiences. Abigail, 44, is living with adenoid cystic carcinoma. In March, Abby and her dad were gifted a Respite Experience. From bonding with another Respite Recipient battling head/neck cancer to moments of joy with her dad that felt like pure relief, she left with a renewed sense of belonging. She shared: “The friendships I've made have given me a sense of belonging that I didn’t even know I was missing. I feel lighter and more optimistic about my life, and empowered to continue living it to the fullest. I take my special needs in stride more easily.
