Serving South Minneapolis since 1966 Sabathani Community Centers (SCC) mission is to provide people of all ages and cultures with essential resources that inspire them to improve their lives and build a thriving community. Established in 1966, Sabathani provides critically needed comprehensive services to over 49,000 community members in South Minneapolis each year. Services are delivered in a respectful, culturally sensitive manner. Of those SCC serves, 87% are Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) and 80% live below the poverty line in the poorest neighborhoods of South Minneapolis (Central, Bryant, Phillips, and Powderhorn).
