Girls On the Run North Bay
Our mission is to inspire girls ages 8 to 13 to be joyful, healthy, caring and confident using an experiential life skill curriculum that creatively combines running or moving. At the end of the program (20 sessions), the girls leave with a stronger sense of self and a life skill tool kit (social and emotional learning) so that they are more resilient and better prepared to make healthy life choices, avoid risky behaviors and maintain a higher self-esteem. For 15 years now, our organization has been positively impacting our girl's mental, social, emotional and physical health so they can lead and have their voice be heard - in the playground, school or at home for themselves and others today - in middle school and into adulthood!
