Friends of Residents in Long Term Care's mission is to promote the highest possible quality of life for adults who cannot live independently, and for those who care for them. We not only advocate for North Carolina's long term care residents, but also for the aides who care for these residents in nursing homes and assisted living facilities. Friends of Residents in Long Term Care carries out its mission in a variety of ways. We provide education and outreach on long term care topics. We are involved in the formulation of public policy. We are a voice for residents in the regulatory process. We provide direct assistance to individuals who are often in a crisis situation and need help immediately.
