(BENI) is a community-based nonprofit that has fostered neighborhood revitalization in the Belair-Edison community, a northeast Baltimore City neighborhood, through neighborhood marketing and outreach, community organizing, homeownership counseling and small business development for more than twenty years. The mission of Belair-Edison Neighborhoods, Inc. is to foster an environment in which residents and merchants are confident to invest their time, effort, and money. BENI strives to accomplish this mission by working toward five goals: 1) a strong real estate market, 2) a strong commercial corridor, 3) a positive image for Belair-Edison inside & outside the neighborhood, 4) attractive and accessible public spaces and 5) strong social ties among neighbors.
