🐾 Facility Dog FriYAY 🐾 Hey guys! It’s Pearla here from Sunnyslope Elementary here in Hollister. I snagged the Friday spotlight this week ☺️ Where do I begin? Well I must tell you guys I really love my job. I can always tell when someone comes into the office upset or anxious I make sure to bring them comfort by positioning myself close to them. I really have a knack for seeing when someone is having a need me moment. It’s very intuitive for me and makes me happy to see what a positive impact I have on the school environment and all my people there 🥰 So much of my ability to do my job also has to do with the support and continued training from my handlers. They keep a good schedule for me, having me work 4-5 days a week depending on the school schedule and staff meetings. They work with me 3-4 times a week at school going over my basic commands and another 1-2 times at home. They keep my training sessions short, just a few minutes at a time so it doesn’t overwhelm me and just keeps me in tip top shape.
