The Arts & Recreation Foundation of Overland Park supports: 🌻 OP Arboretum & Botanical Gardens 🐐 Deanna Rose Children’s Farmstead 🖼 Public Art MISSION - to provide and promote art, recreation, nature, education, and culture that build community and enhance the quality of life. Funding initiatives include the Overland Park Arboretum & Botanical Gardens, Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead, and Overland Park public arts programs. CORE VALUES - Stewardship - Protecting the vision, mission, reputation and assets of the Foundation and the resources of the city.Integrity - Earning trust by honoring donor intent and building relationships based on honesty, respect, dedication, and doing what is best for the common good.Collaboration - Committing to cooperation through teamwork, partnerships, communication, and use of best practices.Community - Building strong relationships, valuing volunteers, listening to stakeholders, creating ownership, and engaging the community. ORGANIZATIONAL PRIORITIESIncrease funding for public art, the Arboretum and the Farmstead. Most notably during this period is completion of the Growing to Inspire capital campaign. Increase community awareness of ARFOP, the Friends groups, and the amenities we support.Increase experiences and attendance for the amenities we support.Increase number and effectiveness of partnerships with individuals, businesses, schools, other nonprofits, and community organizations.Identify, recruit and support community members who share ARFOP's vision to serve in leadership positions.Sustain and improve the presence of the arts in our community.Expand responsibilities of staff and improve operational efficiency and productivity.
