Middle school students explored the land of the dead, paid their respects to Hindu deities, and took a journey along the Silk Road during our Ancient World’s Fair, the culmination of fifth graders’ humanities studies. During this annual tradition, students shared their knowledge of the four ancient river valley civilizations—Ancient India, China, Mesopotamia, and Egypt—and provided information about the artifacts on display. The artifacts, which were created by fifth graders throughout the school year, range from Han Dynasty fans and terra cotta warriors to Egyptian hieroglyphics and ancient cave drawings. We can’t think of a better way to commemorate the conclusion of our fifth graders’ humanities studies than with this student-curated museum exhibit! #StrengthsMadeStronger (fb)
