The Crisis Center of Russell County was organized to provide assistance and temporary housing to victims of domestic abuse through secured temporary housing and education with job placement to transition them back into society. In addition, the organization provides rape crisis services to include monitoring a hot line for crisis calls, counseling them and assisting in court proceedings to include coordination with medical and law enforcement to include a family court advocate to assist them during this process.
