ANIMAL LOVERS OF EDISTO CANINE RESCUE
Edisto's only no-kill canine rescue. The primary mission of Animal Lovers of Edisto Canine Rescue is to provide vet care, food, shelter and love until our rescues are healthy and socialized enough to be adopted. Veterinary Care includes an initial vet exam, heartworm test, vaccinations, medicines and spaying or neutering. Toward that purpose, we serve the community in the following ways: Rescue, vetting, spay and neuter; placement in permanent homes. We also help pet owners rehome pets and provide spay and neuter information and assistance to persons with economic need. Animal Lovers of Edisto Canine Rescue is a nonprofit "no-kill" canine rescue made up of a small group of volunteers who help stray and found dogs on Edisto Island, part of Colleton County near Edisto Island and the communities of Adams Run, Meggett, Hollywood, and Ravenel. We help owners rehome pets by posting them on Adopetapet, Petfinder and our Facebook page. Under unusual circumstances such as serious illness, death and financial hardship, we take pet surrenders.
