The Carol Pufahl Literacy Foundation - Expanding literacy and learning opportunities for children and educators Our mission is to expand literacy and learning opportunities for children and educators in Suffolk Countys most underserved communities and schools. Our work supports promotes and ensures the availability and accessibility of literacy resources and services thereby helping to make education a strong community value. What We Do Provide literacy education services to children families and communities that include DONATE NOW 61 of lowincome families nationally have no childrens books in their home. The Campaign for GradeLevel Reading 2015 A child from a highincome family will experience 30 million more words within the first four years of life than a child from a lowincome family.
