Congratulations to Jazmia Brandon '26, Brigid O'Malley '26, and Peyton Prior '26, who last month celebrated their graduation from the Youth Leadership St. Louis program (YLSL) and were honored with academic scholarships through the University of Missouri-Saint Louis! Each month over the past year, Jazmia, Brigid, and Peyton met with their peers from over 20 public and private schools, resulting in the collaborative development of an action research project with the goal of improving the St. Louis community. We are so proud of our Bears and all their hard work! YLSL brings together high school juniors from public, private, parochial and charter schools from across the region, as well as community organizations. Youth Leadership St. Louis takes students into the community to explore what leadership means in our region, while learning and practicing skills that will serve them throughout life, including group facilitation, critical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration and public speaking.
