Oklahomans for Criminal Justice Reform serves as a catalyst for systemic change in Oklahoma's criminal legal system to promote just & appropriate accountability Oklahomans for Criminal Justice Reform is a 501(c)3 non-profit that works to catalyze systemic change OKLAHOMANS FOR CRIMINAL JUSTICE REFORM, INC ("OCJR"), AN OKLAHOMA NOT-FOR- PROFIT CORPORATION, WAS ESTABLISHED TO PROMOTE AWARENESS AND EDUCATE THE CIZIZENS AND LEADERSHIP OF OKLAHOMA ON PROBLEMS AND ISSUES FACING THE OKLAHOMA CORRECTIONS SYSTEM ON A COMPREHENSIVE AND ON-GOING BASIS. THE ROLE OF THE OCJR IS TO EDUCATE OKLAHOMANS AND FACILITATE MEANINGFUL REFORM WITH THE HELP OF LOCAL SERVICE PROVIDERS, COMMUNITY AND STATE AGENCIES, AND COMMUNITY AND STATE LEADERS AND ORGANIZATIONS.

The State of Oklahomas Criminal Legal System At the height of Oklahomas incarceration rate crime rates continued to grow. 90 higher burglary rate than the national average 5x more likely for black Oklahomans to be incarcerated than their white counterparts 3rd highest incarceration rate 1 out of 3 relationships experience domestic violence Our Mission Serve as a catalyst for systemic change in Oklahomas criminal legal system to promote just and appropriate accountability while reducing mass incarceration and its generational harm to families. What wex27ve accomplished Oklahomas prison population has decreased by 21 since 2016 and crime rates have fallen along with it.
