Missouri City Green is a 501(C)3 non-profit organization based in Missouri City, Texas. It was established in late summer 2010 by a group of concerned residents aiming to enhance the community's livability and beauty.
Mission
The organization's primary mission is to foster pride, responsibility, and beauty in Missouri City. This is achieved through initiatives focused on recycling, litter removal, environmental education, and the promotion of native trees and plants.
Programs and Initiatives
Recycling:
Missouri City Green actively promotes recycling practices through various events and partnerships. Notable initiatives include electronics recycling events, where residents can dispose of unwanted electronics safely. The organization was instrumental in advocating for curbside recycling for all Missouri City residents as part of a new solid waste contract since January 2016.
Environmental Education:
