One by One Friends of Animals, Inc (“One by One”) differs from other rescues by striving to save animals, mostly dogs, that other rescues in our local area are unable to take due to size, breed or health issues. We saw that medium and large breed dogs were underserved in our community and needed a lifeline as the typical shelter stay is often insufficient to provide these loving animals with the time needed to find them a forever home. One by One is 100% volunteer run so that every dollar goes directly to the animals. There are no salaries paid and most administrative supplies are donated. Since being formed in June 2014, One by One has rescued either directly or indirectly 947 whose lives would have otherwise been lost.
