Congrats to our talented community for being recognized for their outstanding contributions to science fiction. Creative writing seniors Dylan Halsted and Jadyn Straigis received honorable mentions in the 2025 Dell Awards for their stories “Beast of War” and “The Anomaly.” Additionally, the Kratz Center for Creative Writing's writer in residence, Sarah Pinsker, was named a Hugo Award finalist for her novelette, “Signs of Life.” These accolades highlight the vibrant creative community here at Goucher.
