Eastern Panhandle LGBTQ Alliance of West Virginia

The Eastern Panhandle LGBTQ Alliance organizes several events throughout the year, including Pride Celebrations. Notably, the First Annual Panhandle PRIDE was held in 2014 at Morgan's Grove Park in Shepherdstown, West Virginia, attracting over 450 attendees. The event featured music, drag performances, and statements of support from local officials. In addition to Pride events, the alliance participates in activities like the "Farewell to Summer Picnic" and an LGBTQ Family Thanksgiving Celebration. It also collaborates with other organizations to promote equality and support for LGBTQ+ individuals.

Collaborations

The alliance works with several organizations in the region, including local student groups and religious institutions. For example, it has collaborated with the social outreach ministry of the Shepherdstown Presbyterian Church on projects promoting social justice and equality for marginalized groups.
