Nonprofit building peace and prosperity since 1938. We lead, teach, connect and celebrate global culture in Iowa. The mission of the Iowa International Center is to build cultural respect at home and around the world one person at a time. The organizational was created in 1938 to assist refugees fleeing Europe during World War II. Since then, its scope of operation has grown to include a variety of programs, events, and services dedicated to it mission.

We coordinate professional meetings visits to educational institutions business tours speaking engagements job shadows and hospitality dinners with delegates and colleagues in Iowa. Local interpreters can be requested for phone virtual or inperson interpretation in over 50 languages. Let IIC help you communicate and remove language barriers in your community.
