Welcome. The Sophie de Marsac Campau Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution NSDAR or DAR was founded in Grand Rapids Michigan on May 18 1896 and was named after the wife of Louis Campau commonly thought of as the founder of the city of Grand Rapids. Our chapter was the second chartered in the state of Michigan and today is among the largest of the 55 Michigan Chapters with over 170 members currently serving the west Michigan community. The NSDAR is a nonprofit nonpolitical womens volunteer service organization that boasts over 190000 members in 3000 chapters across the United States and internationally.
