The California Paramedic Foundation is a 501(c)(3) dedicated to education, prevention, and advancement in paramedicine. The California Paramedic Foundation is a not-for-profit dedicated to education, prevention, and adva The California Paramedic Foundation (CAPF) -- a statewide 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization -- is dedicated to preventing injuries, reducing suffering, and saving lives by strengthening the public's health and safety through the advancement of quality paramedicine and prehospital public health. A statewide nonprofit since 2014, the Foundation's Board collectively reflects more than 150 years of patient care, leadership, and education in EMS. The CAPF's mandate includes an array of educational, injury ​prevention, and community initiatives, including California Opioid Prevention by EMS (COPE), Safety City, Helmets for Kids, and the Nicholas Rosecrans Award.
