🔥#4 of 12 of My Favorite Things at Firehouse Theatre!🔥 Firehouse Fringe would be enough to justify our claim that we are a “creative hub”, but with the resident company model we may as well be Grand Central Station. 😄 Each season Firehouse Theatre offers the Carol Piersol stage and all of its newly purchased trappings, as well as its producing and marketing infrastructure, in support of Richmond’s nomadic performing arts organizations. Over the past two seasons we have co-produced or partnered with 5th Wall Theatre , Yes And Theatrical Co. , Virginia Theatre Machine , Cadence Theatre, K-Dance, Starr Foster Dance , and the PS Dance Project. Many organizations rent their venues to others for the sake of their own bottom line These rentals usually don’t come with any real support. At Firehouse, we strive to take away the burden of production for our residents, so they are able to focus on the thing they love…. Making art for RVA. ❤ Our Production Manager leads their design process, our team builds, installs, and strikes their set, our A/V crew hangs and focuses their lights and installs their audio needs, and our Communications Manager partners with them on the promotion of their show. If you support Firehouse Theatre you are supporting another five or six of your favorite Richmond performing arts organizations. We own one of the few venues in town controlled by a producing theatre company. And we share that humble resource as generously as our producing calendar allows.
