The DKBF mission is to galvanize the business community to adopt and implement Second Chance Employment. We aim to interrupt the cycle of recidivism by building and delivering the tools employers need to successfully hire and retain people with criminal backgrounds. We believe that, while mass incarceration, public policy, and government power are all critical pieces of thus massive and systemic problem, businesses hold immeasurable power to impact change in this space. They are the gatekeepers for hundreds of thousands of jobs for those who seek to regain their dignity through employment.
