The purpose of SOA is to develop and foster scientific medicine in the specialty of orthopaedic surgery. TO PROMOTE, ENCOURAGE, FOSTER, AND ADVANCE THE ART OF SCIENCE AND ORTHOPAEDIC SURGERY AND MATTERS RELATED THERETO, AND TO ESTABLISH A FORUM FOR FREE DISCUSSION AND TEACHING OF ORTHOPAEDIC METHODS AND PRINCIPLES AMONG THE MEMBERS.
