Non-Profit 501c3 The Aidan Jack Seeger Foundation now the ALD Alliance was established to address the need for information and newborn screening with respect to Adrenoleukodystrophy or ALD. In addition, we strive to support and encourage those afflicted and their families as they struggle to endure, adjust and cope with the demands of the disease. The mission of the ALD Alliance is to: • Advocate for ALD and all Federally recommended newborn screening conditions nationally. • To gather and provide current information and provide financial support to families affected by ALD. • To fund research efforts that will identify new treatments, therapies and ultimately a cure for ALD. • To raise awareness of ALD and increasing probability of early detection and treatment.
