Heart of America Humane Society In Pursuit of Finding Every Pet a Home About Us Heart of America Humane Society is a 100 volunteer organization working to find good homes for animals. We do not have a shelter of our own instead we have created a cooperative partnership with the Lees Summit Municipal Animal Shelter and Kansas City Kansas Animal Services. We have adoption events most Saturdays at PetSmart Olathe PetSmart Overland Park and PetSmart Lees Summit. Our Foster Homes In addition to working with local shelters we also have a network of volunteer foster homes.
