The MISSION of Sharing House is to connect residents of Transylvania County to crisis assistance and programs that cultivate lasting solutions to hunger and poverty. Our VISION is that every person in Transylvania County has enough food and resources to thrive. Our CORE VALUES are HOPE- We believe our community can be a place where every person can thrive in body, mind and spirit; where everyone has enough resources to reach their full potential. COMPASSION- We believe that it is our calling to share one another's burdens and joys. INTEGRITY- We believe in the inherent worth and dignity of every person. We honor each individual's desire and search for future good. TEAMWORK - We foster a culture where the contributions of staff, volunteers and neighbors are valued.

We believe that together we can provide more effective assistance to those in need than any one of us could achieve alone. For over 43 years we have served as a cornerstone of compassion and crisis assistance for underresourced neighbors in Transylvania County NC.
