THE INSTITUTE COLLECTS AND ANALYZES INSURANCE CLAIMS DATA AND PUBLISHES STATISTICAL FINDINGS ABOUT THE HUMAN AND ECONOMIC LOSSES ASSOCIATED WITH DIFFERENT MAKES AND MODELS OF CARS, LIGHT TRUCKS, VANS AND UTILITY VEHICLES. THE PURPOSE OF THE REPORTS IS TO PROVIDE INFORMATION THAT WILL HELP REDUCE THE LOSSES RESULTING FROM MOTOR VEHICLE CRASHES AND THEFTS.

Allstates Purgatorio elected IIHS chair Ginger Purgatorio executive vice president and general manager at Allstate has been elected chair of the IIHS Board of Directors for 2025. Kinsey Lee to chair HLDI Board in 2025 Jeff Kinsey of State Farm will stay on as HLDI Board chair for the first half of 2025. PEMCOs Dawn Lee will be chair for the remainder of the year.
