WindAid Institute Purpose: serves as an educational institute whose projects provide electricity to developing communities. WindAid serves as an educational institute, working with communities who do not have access to electricity. We engineer solutions to this problem by harnessing wind energy to provide a clean and reliable source of electricity in locations where grid electricity is not available. Students and professionals come from all over the world to work together designing, building, and installing wind turbines. Each project contributes to the evolution of the design, or reinforces the solidity of the design concepts encouraging an environment of education and innovation. Our work with communities aims to empower people to use wind energy for a more sustainable future, both for their own homes and the planet.
