The 5000 Role Models of Excellence Project is a mentoring program for boys in Miami-Dade, Broward, Duval, Pinellas and Detroit County Public Schools. ππ The 5000 Role Models of Excellence Project is a dropout prevention program for boys in Miami-Dade County Public Schools. Founded by Congresswoman Frederica S. Wilson, the program operates in schools and involves 5000 adult male mentors. The projects mission is to intervene in the lives of at risk boys, in order to provide them with alternatives that will lead them away from a life of crime and violence.
