THE PURPOSE OF THE ORGANIZATION IS TO SUPPORT THE ADVANCEMENT OF WOMEN IN THE LEGAL PROFESSION; TO ENCOURAGE WOMEN ATTORNEYS TO PARTICIPATE IN THE BAR ASSOCIATION; TO PROVIDE A UNITED EFFORT FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF WOMEN ATTORNEYS TO POSITIONS OF LEADERSHIP; TO PROVIDE A FORUM FOR THE EXCHANGE OF IDEAS BETWEEN LAWYERS AND LAW STUDENTS; TO PROMOTE THE ROLE AND IMPACT OF WOMEN ATTORNEYS WITHIN THE COMMUNITY AND THE PROFESSION; TO PROVIDE SERVICE TO THE PUBLIC, TO THE LEGAL PROFESSION AND TO THE JUDICIARY; AND TO TAKE ACTION TO IMPROVE THE STATUS OF WOMEN IN THE METROPOLITAN ST.
