The Tangier American Legation Institute for Moroccan Studies (TALIM) is a historic landmark, museum, cultural and research center. The purposes of TALIM are to a. exercise custody of and administer this National Historic Landmark and provide for a resident director and staff; b. develop the Museum and further its availability to the public, c. develop the Research and General Libraries and make them known and accessible to a larger body of users; d. maintain the Conference and Cultural Center and attract more frequent educational and cultural activities and conferences of government, business, and academic groups; and e. promote friendship between the people of the United States and of Morocco, both in Morocco and the U.S., particularly in the greater Washington area.
