The PAFOP Foundation is a nonprofit corporation organized under the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. It has been in existence since June 10 2011. It has received taxexempt status as a public charity from the Internal Revenue Service under Section 501c 3 of the Internal Revenue Code and therefore contributions as deductible for federal income tax purposes. The Foundation has a Board of Directors some of whom are appointed by the Pennsylvania State Lodge Fraternal Order of Police and some of whom are members of the public.
