MOTHERS IN THE SHADOWS

Our mission is to provide a level of support for women who are residing in or receiving assistance from domestic violence shelters.  Our aim is to bring these victims of domestic violence out of the shadows of abuse and connect them to resources that will help them on their journey of seeing themselves as powerful leaders of their lives therefore providing a positive role model for their children.The services we provide consist of  free hair care, make-up application, wardrobe styling, and other aspects of personal development.  The organization provides seminars on various subjects such as defense training, budgeting, financial planning, resume building, and other preparations for entering the workforce. Our goal is to help mothers establish independence, self-confidence, courage, and the determination to strive for a future without abuse.
