They lead with integrity, advocate for patients and families and bring compassion to every interaction. Nurses Week was about recognizing the nurses who make a difference—not just in our hospitals and clinics but in the lives of everyone they care for. During Healthcare Week, we honored team members whose decades of service have helped shape who we are at Luminis Health. This year, we introduced a new tradition: planting trees for employees who have reached 50 years or more with us—a lasting tribute to their roots in our organization and the lives they’ve touched. At LHAAMC, we recognized Dr. George Samaras (51 years), Maria Medina (50 years) and Joyce Wilson-Phillips (55 years). At LHDCMC, we honored Doris Chapman (50 years). Each tree represents a legacy of care and commitment—a living reminder of the deep roots these individuals have planted in our organization and community.
