Brevard Emergency Amateur Radio Services Inc
Brevard Emergency Amateur Radio Services (BEARS) is a consortium of the Amateur Radio clubs, the Military Auxiliary Radio System, and REACT/CERT organizations in Brevard County dedicated to providing emergency communications assistance to county and municipal agencies as well as the National Weather Service, Florida Division of Emergency Management, American Red Cross, Salvation Army and other public and private service agencies as requested. BEARS is a registered non-profit Florida corporation and has been issued 501(c)(3) status by the Internal Revenue Service. All participating members are volunteer communications enthusiasts and receive no remuneration for their services.
