At the W20 (women's arm of the G20) meeting in Capetown, South Africa last week, I led a session of experts from government, civil society and business, who provided 'tools' and best practices to consider as delegates deliberate on recommended policies to convey on their communique on how to advance women's opportunities. While everyone acknowledged that these are trying times, there was an infectious spirit of 'can-do', which all of us 'inhaled' and stored as fuel to continue the work towards equity in which we are all engaged. The South African team which pulled the program together did a terrific job both in terms of content and the positive spirit they infused into this gathering. (fb)
