THE ORGANIZATION WAS ESTABLISHED TO PROMOTE THE COMMON GOOD AND GENERAL WELFARE OF THE PEOPLE BY EDUCATING THE PUBLIC ABOUT THE ONGOING PROBLEM OF ILLITERACY AND THE SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC COSTS THAT ILLITERACY BRINGS TO THE COMMUNITY; AND TO FOSTER PROGRAMS THAT STRENGTHEN THE LITERACY PROGRAMS IN OUR SCHOOLS AND COMMUNITIES.
