We promote equity, education, and opportunities for local women and girls that enable them to realize their full potential by awarding academic scholarships to deserving local women for post-secondary education, and supporting the community service programs of the AAUW Greater Naples Branch: The STEAM Girls Count program for 5th-grade girls encouraging their interest in STEAM fields; the Janet Martin Welch Reading is Fun! program, providing books to kids in high needs public elementary schools; and workshops to improve women's ability to negotiate better compensation and work opportunities.
